Uppsala Student Union is a membership organization founded in 1849 at Uppsala University. We are Sweden's oldest and one of the largest student unions in Sweden with about 10,000 members. The purpose of Uppsala Student Union is to represent the students' interests towards the university, the municipality and the region and to work for a good study time.

📌 About the internship

Uppsala Student Union is looking for a driven and curious intern who wants to work closely with our faculty coordinator and communicator. You will get a unique insight into how student influence works in practice, while developing your skills in communication, project management and collaboration.

🛠 Duties and tasks

As a trainee you will:

- Plan and implement communication actions (social media and web)

- Participate in meetings with student representatives

- Support in projects related to education quality and student empowerment

- Contribute ideas and content to campaigns and events (e.g. student union elections)

- Writing reports and supporting documents

🎯 We are looking for you who:

- Studying humanities or social sciences

- Good written and spoken communication skills in Swedish and English

- Is structured, takes initiative and likes to cooperate

- Has an interest in student affairs, communication and education policy

📍 Framework of the internship

- Period: as agreed, 15 or 30 credits

- Scope: full-time

- Location: Uppsala Student Union office in Uppsala, Övre Slottsgatan 7

The office has an office dog, a friendly golden retriever called Hugo.

- The internship is unpaid but provides valuable experience and reference opportunities

- To apply, you must be granted CSN and do the internship as part of an internship course at Uppsala University
