Student Representation

Student representation exists to ensure that students have a say in their own education. Student representatives represent the views of students wherever decisions are taken or prepared at the university that affect their education or situation.

As a student representative, you will receive ongoing training and information from the union on how best to carry out your role, and you will have the opportunity to push issues and bring about change. The training is tailored to the needs and wishes of the student representatives. In addition, you will receive support from the other student representatives in the Student Representative Council, from the union's paid and employed staff, and from the university.

What do you get as a student representative? An opportunity to have a real impact, a good merit on your CV, a chance to make contacts both within the university, the union and with other students, learn more about how the university works and of course remuneration for many assignments.

Evaluation group for the Office of the University Chancellor's evaluation of the psychology program

The psychology program's evaluation is part of a national evaluation of all psychology programs according to directives from UKÄ. May also be relevant to be part of a student group interviewed by a national panel that evaluates all psychology programs. Looking for student representatives from the psychology program preferably from T7 and up, at least from T3. Estimated work effort is approximately 20-40 hours.

Educational evaluation of the Master's Program in Russian and Eurasian Studies

Educational evaluations

The student representative will, together with a panel of two experts, evaluate the Master's Program in Russian and Eurasian Studies. The panel will be provided with the department's self-evaluation and other documentation well in advance of the planned panel visit (approximately 1-2 months before the visit). The panel visit will take place on September 15-16, 2025 and it will be on site in Uppsala. The first day will be dedicated to interviews with teachers and students at the institution. On the second day, the panel will start writing their assessment report and participate in a final discussion. Please note that the student representative should NOT study at the Faculty of Social Sciences.

Educational evaluation of first- and second-cycle education at the Department of Informatics and Media

Educational evaluations

The student representatives, together with a panel of four experts, will evaluate the Department of Informatics and Media's educational environment. The panel will be provided with the department's self-evaluation and other documentation well in advance of the planned panel visit (approximately 1-2 months before the visit). The panel visit will take place on December 1-3, 2025 and will be on site in Uppsala. The first day is dedicated to interviews with faculty and students at the institution. Day two will be devoted to starting the writing of the report. On the morning of day three, there will be a seminar where the panel will present and discuss their preliminary conclusions to representatives of the department and the faculty. The panel's work will then conclude with the submission of their final report approximately two weeks later. The student representatives should NOT study at the Faculty of Social Sciences.

The educational evaluations are carried out by an assessment panel consisting of four people, including a student representative, who read the self-evaluation and other relevant material produced by the department, and then conduct a site visit. The evaluation is based on the self-evaluation written by the institutions and oral exchanges during the site visit. In addition, the assessment panel interviews different categories at the institution (education officers, teachers, supervisors, students/doctoral students, course administrators). Within two weeks after the the site visit, the assessment panel delivers a written summary assessment statement. According to the guidelines, this should include a statement of the program's strengths, weaknesses/development areas and recommendations. We are looking for a student representative to the assessment panel who is not studying the main field of study, or at the same institution.

Educational evaluation of the biomedicine program
Educational evaluations

Faculty of Medicine

During the academic year 25/26, the Biomedicine program at Uppsala University will be evaluated. We will write a self-evaluation during vt25 which will be sent to an assessment group consisting of UU internal assessors, external assessors and students. This will be followed up with a two-day site visit in October 2025. During and after the site visit, the assessment group will write a report that must be completed before the end of the year 25/26. Looking for a representative who, together with teacher representatives, can be part of the assessment group. The student should be familiar with quality work of education and should attend another program at UU than the biomedicine program. A compensation of SEK 5,000 will be paid.
