Uppsala Muslim Students
For those who want to be part of the community, absorb knowledge and find new opportunities to make great memories.
Uppsala Muslim Students, also known as UMS, is a student association with a Muslim profile, founded in 2004. The aim of the association is to share knowledge and provide a safe and welcoming environment for all students at Uppsala University. The association also creates forums to discuss their faith, share their experiences and build relationships with other students. UMS provides social activities such as Kickoff, bowling, game nights, movie nights, Ramadan dinners and Eid gatherings.
The association also organises educational activities that include some form of education, such as lectures on study techniques, workshops, study circles and community service projects. In addition, UMS can provide resources to help students navigate the college experience, such as information on scholarships, internships and job opportunities. Finally, UMS also aims to encourage students to actively participate in student and community issues of public interest.
