Uppsala Students for Psychedelic Science - UPV
The purpose of the association is to disseminate research results and future research in the growing field of psychedelics in a neutral way.
The purpose of the association is to disseminate research results and future research in the growing field of psychedelics in a neutral way. This is done through membership meetings, journal clubs, lectures and mailings. By communicating the science, we hope to create an awareness of the possibilities, risks and applications in the field. Major issues in the field today involve psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy in the treatment of PTSD, depression, addiction problems and anxiety in palliative care as well as neurology, consciousness research and microdosing of psychedelics.
The UPV is not a meeting place to share any personal experiences; the association is strictly focused on published science. The association is open to students from all faculties and departments, the only thing needed is curiosity or interest in the subject.
