Many university students look forward to the time after graduation when they can seek out new challenges and experiences, either in further studies or by seeking out the labor market. Working with labor market coordination at the section is about making the transition after graduation a little easier by highlighting the various options that await. This can involve organizing fairs, arranging contact meetings or simply providing students with information about what they can work on.

As a labor market coordinator at the Social Sciences Section, you have both the role of bringing life after graduation closer to the individual social science student, and to support the section's student unions to do the same. This means establishing and maintaining contact with relevant employers, and developing collaborations with these organizations that will be beneficial for the social science students and for the section as a whole.

For the spring semester 2026, the Social Sciences Section is planning to organize a job fair for all social science students. You will have the opportunity to work with other students to organize a job fair, and the freedom to work in a goal-oriented way, based on your own abilities. Due to the timeframe of the project, we hope that you are prepared to run the project for the time required.

The assignment involves approximately 4-10 hours of work per week.

What does the mission mean in practice?

  • Support SamSek's 15 student unions in their business activities
  • Establish partnerships with relevant organizations for social science students
  • Act as project manager for SamSek's labor market fair Momentum
  • Take on student representative positions at the Faculty of Social Sciences
