Kassör Samhällsvetenskapliga sektionen/Treasurer of the Section of Social Sciences
The Social Sciences Section manages money from Uppsala Student Union every year to carry out student beneficial activities, and for this a person is needed who can take care of the section's finances and money flow.
As treasurer of the Social Sciences Section, you work together with the section's chair and vice chair to ensure that the section has good finances. This mainly involves keeping records of the section's income and expenses in order to give the section insight into its financial situation. You will help the Section make wise financial decisions so that the budget stays balanced and the Section spends money on the right things. You also represent the section in various forums, both as a student representative for social sciences students, but also by attending sessions, meetings and events on behalf of the section. You also make sure to collaborate with others in the section's executive committee on the section's various projects.
The assignment involves approximately 4-10 hours of work per week.
What does the mission mean in practice?
- Attend meetings together with the section's unions
- Responsible for keeping track of the section's income and expenditure
- Manage project grant applications from student unions and other student groups
- Contact with the Uppsala student union office regarding payments
- Take on student representative positions at the Faculty of Social Sciences
