The Programme Board is a forum for continuous discussion of the activities of the programme and is responsible for the implementation of the programme. Among other things, it includes annually reviewing the program's curriculum and, if necessary, proposing changes to the Faculty Board, ensuring that course evaluations are carried out and followed up, deciding on course literature within the program and annually submitting proposals for course plans to the Faculty Board.

The Department of Theology has a program council for bachelor programs that prepares issues related to education in Theology Program and the Religious Studies Program. The program council is responsible for annually reviewing the bachelor's program curricula, ensuring that course evaluations are carried out and followed up, and deciding on course literature for program courses. The program council provides a forum for continuous discussion of the activities within the programs.

The Business Plan Preparation Committee prepares the work on the Faculty Board's operational planning for decisions by the Faculty Board.

The mission of the Centre Board is to ensure the high quality of the Centre's activities. The Board decides, among other things, on the operational plan and the budget.

The Student Council consists of student representatives for the department's first-cycle courses (i.e. History A, B and C) and meets under the chairmanship of the Director of Studies at least once a semester. The purpose is to ventilate and discuss, from the students' perspective, the organization and implementation of teaching for evaluation and course development purposes. The recruitment team handles matters concerning employment as a professor and teaching positions for which a doctoral degree is a requirement under the University's employment regulations. The Recruitment Group also deals with promotion cases.

The Medical Committee is an advisory and preparatory body to the Area Board in matters relating to the planning of recruitment of professors and adjuncts, budget and operational planning. The Committee initiates and prepares major issues of principle of a strategic nature that are specific to the Faculty of Medicine.
