The task of the Advisory Group is to prepare matters for the Department Board, prepare documentation for the department's operational plans, annual reports and development work, manage and prepare the department's syllabuses at first and second cycle (except for courses in the teacher programs) for decisions by the Department Board, manage and prepare the department's syllabi at undergraduate and graduate level for approval by the department board and later decisions at faculty level, follow up issues relating to progression in education and uniformity between syllabi, prepare targeted investigation assignments, annually take note of summaries of course evaluations and recommend measures based on these and otherwise be a quality driver in educational issues.

The Excellence Panel prepares applications to be admitted as excellent teachers in the Faculty. The group's work consists of reviewing the applications received, submitting them for peer review and finally making a proposal on which persons should be admitted. The group normally meets three times in the spring semester in March - June. A remuneration fee of 500 SEK per meeting is charged for student representatives at undergraduate and graduate level. The Committee is an advisory and preparatory body to the Area Board on matters relating to the organization, implementation and quality of education, the allocation of funds and matters of principle.

The Recruitment Group prepares and submits proposals to the faculty board regarding employment as professor; employment as Senior Lecturer and Associate Senior Lecturer; promotion from Senior Lecturer to professor.

The Forum for Jewish Studies (FJS) promotes knowledge of Judaism and Jewish culture in the past and present through seminars, conferences, collaboration and publishing. The Forum's mission includes taking stock of existing expertise and ongoing research at Uppsala University and nationally, and coordinating and initiating new research in the field. The activities of the Forum for Jewish Studies are led by a board consisting of a chairperson, five representatives from the faculties within the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, an external representative, a doctoral student representative and a student representative.

U-CARE aims to strengthen the mental health of patients and families affected by serious physical illness. We develop and test various self-help programs offered through our online platform, the U-CARE platform. U-CARE programme executive committee is responsible for: Strengthening collaboration between clinical psychology, health economics, nursing, information systems and computer science, reviewing studies conducted within U-CARE, deciding on the use of the U-CARE platform, and implementing the U-CARE business plan. As a student representative on the Program Committee, you will have an insight into the work of a research program aimed at strengthening mental health. In addition, you will have the opportunity to expand your network in a variety of research areas.

The subjects are the starting point for the department's activities. The College consists of teachers, researchers and employed doctoral students in the subject, as well as a student representative. There is also an assistant in each college. The subject college's tasks include preparing the subject's general study plan for decision by the Faculty Board, submitting proposals for independent courses to the consultation on course offerings, submitting proposals for syllabi for independent courses to the Faculty Board, ensuring that course evaluations are carried out and followed up for the courses for which the college is responsible, and being responsible for developing syllabi, implementation and evaluation of independent courses that belong to the subject.
