Green Students is your guarantee of a green student union!
Since Green Students made a comeback in the union focused on making the union instead of gray. We’ve worked on the university’s climate plan, set up a bike repair shop at the union fought for more study spaces on campus.
Now we’re running for election because we want to make the union, the university, and Uppsala even greener! We want to make clinical placements more sustainable by covering all additional costs incurred, either through grants from the university or CSN. We also want to continue the work of making Uppsala Sweden’s best cycling city, by advocating for more bike racks and proper bike lanes. We want to ensure students continue to receive ten hours of instructor-led time per week, because it’s not reasonable for you to go into debt just to read a book in your dorm room.
We were the ones who solved the Matikum issue. We were the ones who secured a student representative for the university’s climate plan. We were the ones who set up a bike repair shop at the union. Vote for Green Students for a student union party that delivers.

Since 1964, we have been the alternative to party politics within Uppsala Student Union. We believe that student union politics should be about students—not about the right or the left. That is why we promote student influence through dedicated, experienced, and competent representatives who understand that we work with—not against—the rest of Uppsala. Because we students deserve that.
This year, we’re focusing on: Elective courses in internships, stronger connections to the professional world for those studying humanities or social sciences, increased status and better conditions for Union Associations lower barriers to getting involved in the union. Let the politicians run Sweden, but let the students run Uppsala Student Union!

The Uppsala Student Union and the university face many serious challenges. That is why Vänsterstudenter is once again running in the student union election to build a socialist, feminist, and united student union that puts students, their learning environment, and working conditions at the center, with three main issues:
1. More study spaces – we demand longer opening hours at Uppsala University’s libraries, and that the university open up inaccessible but unused spaces for students.
2. Save our campuses – Vänsterstudenter will fight against the cuts affecting our campuses. Educational programs are sidelined when the economy fails, which is why student representation must be strengthened through improved recruitment and organization.
3. Free menstrual products – Our final goal is to introduce free menstrual products on all campuses. Menstruation is a part of life and should not be a source of stress in daily life. Forgetting menstrual products or an unexpected period should not result in missed study time.
In addition to these three issues, a student union led by Vänsterstudenter will advocate for international solidarity, an environmentally friendly university with an updated environmental plan, increased transparency between the union and the students it aims to represent, and the protection of student health. Vote for Vänsterstudenter for a student union based on solidarity and the right to a dignified student life and daily routine at Uppsala University!
Revolutionary Students (RS) is a progressive, democratic, and student-led party. Our vision is an inclusive and safe student life, where every student has the opportunity to make their heard. We fight tirelessly for better study conditions, a democratic student union, and against racism. We also advocate for a more conscious understanding of what it means to be a student, a concept that remains critically unexamined. Every student should reflect on their and perspective within society and student life without regard to their inclinations or cognitive peculiarities. Students in today’s student union system belong to different strata. This is determined by one’s relationship to the student union. The fundamental conflict lies between students on the one hand and student union bureaucrats, bigwigs, plutocrats, and potentates on the other.
While other student union parties want to serve the university administration, we fight to ensure that students’ voices are heard and acted upon. We advocate a two-pronged policy: the students, and what we might call the “grassroots,” where we are currently the only party representing the students’ interests, will, and hopes. A unified student body with a common will. Revolutionary Students (RS) represent the people against the ever-scheming elite.

S-students believe that the student union is more than just an organization—it is a voice, a force, and a community that improves students’ daily lives. That is why S-students will always fight for your right to a sustainable and rewarding student life. That is why we are presenting three proposals for a better study environment.
In several subject areas, Sweden has the least amount of teacher-led time in Europe, and there is significant variation between faculties. The lack of interaction between teachers and students that we see today is unacceptable, and S-students therefore demand 12 hours of teacher-led time per week. A prerequisite for successful studies is also having good places to study. S-students therefore want to see more study spaces for a better study environment. Furthermore, students need to be given a chance to recover and rest. As the only social group without any regulated time off, many students spend Christmas dealing with exam stress and assignments; therefore, S-students demand that a proper winter break be introduced by starting the fall semester earlier.
S-students will always strive to ensure that everyone has the right to higher education on equal terms. This is an absolute right in a democratic society, and the fight does not end in the lecture hall. Today, reality does not look like that; instead, socioeconomic gaps constantly affect access to education. That is why we need a student union that dares to be seen and heard. A vote for S-studenter is a vote for a student union that makes a difference.
The student union parties begin campaigning, and information about them is posted on the website.
