Student Representation

Student representation exists to ensure that students have a say in their own education. Student representatives represent the views of students wherever decisions are taken or prepared at the university that affect their education or situation.

As a student representative, you will receive ongoing training and information from the union on how best to carry out your role, and you will have the opportunity to push issues and bring about change. The training is tailored to the needs and wishes of the student representatives. In addition, you will receive support from the other student representatives in the Student Representative Council, from the union's paid and employed staff, and from the university.

What do you get as a student representative? An opportunity to have a real impact, a good merit on your CV, a chance to make contacts both within the university, the union and with other students, learn more about how the university works and of course remuneration for many assignments.
