The Department of Peace and Conflict Research (DPCR) is managed by the Head of Department and the Department Board. The Board is chaired by the Head of Department and consists of elected members from four groups: faculty members (4 regular members + 2 alternates), technical and administrative staff (1+1), PhD students (1+1), and undergraduate and graduate students (2+2). The board decides on guidelines for the Department’s activities and on matters submitted to the board. The board meets approximately three times per semester, and each meeting lasts about 2 hours. The Head of Department, the Deputy Head of Department, and the two Directors of Studies (one for the undergraduate and graduate levels, and one for the doctoral level) and their deputies are responsible for the direct management of the Department’s activities and the implementation of board decisions.
