As Buddy Coordinator, you are responsible for the Uppsala Student Union Buddy Program. The Buddy Program pairs new international students ("Newbies") with Swedish or established students ("Buddies"). Buddies are there to help Newbies during their first period in Uppsala and teach them about what the city and the university have to offer. The Buddy Coordinator works in consultation with the Vice President of Uppsala Student Union. Among other things, the position involves opening registration for the fall and spring semester Buddy Programs, pairing Buddies and Newbies, and creating "Buddy Groups," which are groups consisting of several Buddies and Newbies. The Buddy Coordinator, together with the Vice President, can also organize an introduction to Buddies and attend the Arrival Day fair. The Coordinator is also welcome to organize more events for the entire Buddy Program.

The position is a voluntary position of trust appointed by the board of the Uppsala Student Union.
