The Graduate Research Unit (GRU) at the Department of Public Health and Health Care Sciences
Department of Public Health and Health Care Sciences
(GRU), a group appointed by the board consisting of program directors and administrators associated with the program. It sometimes makes decisions regarding revisions to course syllabi, etc., which are then forwarded to GRUNK; however, for major decisions, GRU prepares the groundwork for decisions to be made by the department board. Meetings are held every fourth Tuesday (1 hour), but at most meetings no decisions are made; they consist mainly of discussions and reports on the status of our programs. There is usually not much background material to read before the meetings. We have not had a student representative on this group in the past. We offer programs (degree programs and standalone courses) primarily in nursing science and public health science, including our programs at IFV: the Master’s program in Public Health, the Speech-Language Pathology program, the Specialized Nursing program’s tracks in District Nursing and Oncology Care, as well as parts of the Medical Program and the Nursing Program.
