The Department Board is the department’s highest decision-making body and has overall responsibility for policy matters and decisions regarding the budget and financial statements. As a student representative on the Department Board, you will participate in the board’s meetings, where decisions are made regarding, among other things, course syllabi, reading lists, and the adoption of the department’s operational plan. Meetings are estimated to last approximately 1–2 hours each.
