The Department Board is the highest decision-making body within the department and is responsible for the most important overarching decisions. As a student representative on the Department Board, you will participate in meetings where matters concerning the department as a whole—such as finances and academic focus—are discussed and decided. With regard to education, the Department Board is responsible for matters including course syllabi and the range of programs offered. Occasionally, you may be asked to participate in groups working on quality development, pedagogical discussions, or equal opportunities.
