The board members include staff from IRES and other departments at Uppsala University. From IRES, the board includes two representatives from the Researchers and Teachers Association, one representative from the technical and administrative staff, one doctoral student, and one student representative (all of whom have alternates). Three other departments are represented: the Department of Political Science, the Department of Peace and Conflict Research, and the Department of Modern Languages. The board discusses and decides on matters concerning IRES, including research, education, recruitment, and finances.
