The Departmental Board of the Department of Surgical Sciences is responsible for key decisions concerning the department’s core activities: undergraduate education, graduate education, and research. The Board addresses issues that affect the department’s development, quality, and long-term direction. As a student representative, you will participate in Board meetings and present the students’ perspective on matters related to educational issues. This role gives you the opportunity to influence important decisions and gain valuable insight into how the department is governed. The department offers programs in medicine, radiology nursing, and specialized nursing, but we are also involved in the speech-language pathology program, the physical therapy program, the occupational therapy program, the biomedical sciences program, and the nursing program.
