Reference group for pedagogical development project on reading in humanities education

Other

The project aims to develop pedagogical principles and methods that support humanities students' reading skills. The effects and consequences of digitization on reading habits in higher education and society at large are still understudied. However, it is clear that the current generation of university students, who have grown up in an increasingly digitised and multimedia society, have learned and become accustomed to relating to texts in ways that differ from the methods commonly used in the analogue era. Without judging the differences, we seek to understand their implications in order to develop new pedagogical methods that can support both university teachers and students in their use of reading assignments as an integral part of higher education. To this end, the project will have a reference group with student representatives from Faculty of Languages Faculty of Arts.
