The Faculty of Social Sciences’ Recruitment Group for Associate Professor Appointments (RG-L) is responsible for preparing appointment cases in accordance with the Faculty of Social Sciences’ supplementary guidelines to the University’s Appointment Regulations. The Recruitment Group for Associate Professor Matters (RG-L) is responsible for preparing the following
types of cases: permanent appointments as associate professor, promotion from assistant associate professor to associate professor, promotion from lecturer to associate professor, assessment of qualifications for the position of associate professor (in cases of reassignment or similar). Other matters of a similar nature may also arise. In addition to the above areas of responsibility, the Faculty Board or faculty management may assign the recruitment groups to serve as a working group for matters within the committee’s area of responsibility. This may, for example, involve referrals, proposals for guidelines, nominations, responding to surveys, or similar tasks. Meetings are held almost exclusively on Wednesdays between 1:00 PM and 4:00 PM.
