Recruitment group for professorships at the Faculty of Social Sciences
Faculty of Social Sciences
The Faculty of Social Sciences’ Recruitment Group for Professorial Appointments (RG-P) is responsible for preparing appointment cases in accordance with the Faculty of Social Sciences’ supplementary guidelines to the University’s Appointment Regulations. The Recruitment Group for Professorial Appointments is responsible for preparing the following types of cases: appointment as professor (including visiting professor and adjunct professor), promotion from associate professor to professor, and appointment as assistant professor. Other matters of a similar nature may also arise. In addition to the above areas of responsibility, the Faculty Board or the Faculty Management may assign the recruitment groups to serve as working groups for matters within the committee’s area of responsibility. This may, for example, involve referrals, proposals for guidelines, nominations, responding to surveys, or similar tasks. Regular meetings are held almost exclusively on Wednesdays between 1:00 PM and 4:00 PM. Approximately 1–3 times per semester, the group also holds full-day meetings or additional half-day meetings in connection with interviews.
