The purpose of the Center for Health and Sustainability is: to contribute to new knowledge, as well as its dissemination and scaling within the field, through interdisciplinary and collaborative research; to contribute to the education of students at the undergraduate and graduate levels; and to contribute to the professional development of the university’s faculty and researchers, as well as stakeholders in society. With the establishment of the Center for Health and Sustainability, a new interdisciplinary field of knowledge will be established within the Division of Medicine and Pharmacy. There, students, faculty, and researchers—in collaboration with key societal stakeholders in the field—will be trained in transformative learning for sustainable development. The Center’s Board decides on proposed resolutions. The decision is formally adopted by the Departmental Board for Women’s and Children’s Health.
