The Faculty of History and Philosophy's recruitment group is responsible for the preparation of applications for docentorship, teaching excellence and promotion in accordance with the Faculty of History and Philosophy's supplementary guidelines to the university's employment regulations (HISTFILFAK 2020/66). The faculty's delegation regulations state where the decision-making authority lies in matters relating to promotion. Meeting time is estimated at 1-3 hours per meeting. Pre-meetings include reading documents that are sent out one week before each meeting.

Within the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, the Faculty Boards are the decision-making bodies of the faculties. The majority of the members of the Faculty Board are academic staff and four student representatives. The chair of the Faculty Board is called the Dean. The meeting time is estimated at 3 hours per meeting, in addition you are expected to read documents and, if possible, participate in pre-meetings (about 30 min) on Zoom organized for the student representatives. In addition, an overnight stay is organized at most once a year.

The student representative, together with a panel of two experts, will evaluate the Master's Program in Russian and Eurasian Studies. The panel will be provided with the department's self-evaluation and other documentation well in advance of the planned panel visit (approximately 1-2 months before the visit). The panel visit will take place on September 15-16, 2025 and it will be on site in Uppsala. The first day will be dedicated to interviews with teachers and students at the institution. On the second day, the panel will start writing their assessment report and participate in a final discussion. Please note that the student representative should NOT study at the Faculty of Social Sciences.

The student representatives, together with a panel of four experts, will evaluate the Department of Informatics and Media's educational environment. The panel will be provided with the department's self-evaluation and other documentation well in advance of the planned panel visit (approximately 1-2 months before the visit). The panel visit will take place on December 1-3, 2025 and will be on site in Uppsala. The first day is dedicated to interviews with faculty and students at the institution. Day two will be devoted to starting the writing of the report. On the morning of day three, there will be a seminar where the panel will present and discuss their preliminary conclusions to representatives of the department and the faculty. The panel's work will then conclude with the submission of their final report approximately two weeks later. The student representatives should NOT study at the Faculty of Social Sciences.

The Faculty's working group for new Goals and Strategies 2026-2030 is appointed by the Faculty of Theology Board and consists of the dean, the vice-dean, the head of department, the director of studies for postgraduate education, the head of education, a student representative and a doctoral student representative. The student representative should have at least two semesters' experience of studying religious studies at the Faculty of Theology, preferably with experience of student representative assignments.

The Program Council usually meets once or twice a semester to discuss issues related to the Master's Programme in Languages. The program has three common courses that are optional to choose within the program and in addition to them, students have different specializations at one of the four departments of the Faculty of Linguistics. The program council is attended by the directors of studies from the faculty and the heads of the different specializations and/or the teachers of the common courses.

The Department of Public Health and Health Care Sciences (IFV) offers a 2-year Master's program in public health sciences. The Master's College consists of the course leaders for the courses included in the program, course coordinator, director of studies and program coordinator. The Master's Collegium exists to coordinate the program's various courses and to drive development work. Among other things, work with action points that have arisen after the program evaluation. It is also a forum for course leaders on the master's program to discuss pedagogical issues that arise. We are looking for two student representatives, one from year 1 and one from year 2 of the program.

Faculty of Arts conducts educational evaluations of the faculty's main areas in the fall of 2025. The educational evaluations are carried out by an assessment panel consisting of four people, including a student representative, who read the self-evaluation and other relevant material produced by the department, and then conduct a site visit. The evaluation is based on the self-evaluation written by the institutions and oral exchanges during the site visit. In addition, the assessment panel interviews different categories at the institution (education officers, teachers, supervisors, students/doctoral students, course administrators). Within two weeks after the the site visit, the assessment panel delivers a written summary assessment statement. According to the guidelines, this should include a statement of the program's strengths, weaknesses/development areas and recommendations. We are looking for a student representative to the assessment panel who is not studying the main field of study, or at the same institution.
