The Education Committee shall work to promote quality in basic and advanced education.

As a student representative on the Department Board, you participate in the body's meetings where decisions are made regarding, among other things, course syllabi and reading lists, and where other matters are discussed.

The Faculty of History and Philosophy's recruitment group is responsible for preparing applications for docentships, teaching excellence awards, and promotions in accordance with the Faculty of History and Philosophy's supplementary guidelines to the university's employment regulations.

The Master's Council exists to coordinate the program's various courses and to drive development work.

The study council complements course evaluations. Study councils are held twice per semester or upon request and provide students with an opportunity to express and discuss their thoughts and opinions about the course.

Study council representatives gather thoughts and opinions from their fellow students on the course and then bring them up at the study council.

The department board is the highest decision-making body at the department and is responsible for the most important overall decisions.

The Program Council's task is to discuss and advise on strategic issues concerning the content and focus of the program and the courses included in it.

The Program Council is a forum for program-related issues. As a student representative, you are expected to provide a student perspective on these issues and, by extension, contribute to the development of the program’s courses and their implementation.

The assignment involves representing students in various contexts where discussions are held and decisions are made on issues relating to the Linguistics program.
